GARE 55 offers a sustainable and vibrant stay for expats, businesses, and groups in the port of Ghent, conveniently close to those of Antwerp and Zeebrugge. It's also within cycling distance of the picturesque Assenede and the creek area. 

Now and then, only during the day, a slow train thunders past which you are not disturbed by.

Enjoy the terrace and garden which is fully securely fenced.

In our beautifully decorated common area (with a garden), there's ample space for socializing or finding a quiet corner to catch up on work, watch TV, cook, dine, or read.

Our stylish rooms offer all the comforts, including a private kitchenette and an ensuite bathroom. However, it's the small details that make a big difference: the superb beds, well-placed lighting, solar charging stations (for cars and e-bikes), our collaboration with luxurious (hand soaps and lotions from Atelier Rebul), sustainable, and frequently local suppliers, and the delightful views of the garden and the old railway.

Coffee is important. Coffee is warmth and love in a cup. That's why it's always complimentary for our guests. Additionally, we provide a delightful, honest, and locally sourced breakfast. For the rest, the choice is yours. You can prepare something in the spacious kitchen, order a meal, and of course, we know with the best dining spots to explore.

You can sleep on both ears in Gare 55, it is as friendly as possible to the planet and people. 
The Green Key Label was achieved in 2023, which is an international quality label highlighting sustainable travel, meetings and relaxation.
